Working for an established independent Aviation Consultancy, our client continues to grow and is hiring a Safety & Human Factors graduate. Working on leading edge developments and concepts, you will be afforded the opportunity to work on pioneering projects where you truly will make a difference to Air transport and Airports of the future.
Our client has a national and international reputation for the application of Human Factors knowledge in a dynamic, safety critical industry.
You will be responsible for:
User Interface Design – This will include designing, evaluating and developing the Human Machine Interface (HMI) for applications; planning and running user assessment workshops; developing and implementing HMI style guides; and assessing HMI designs against guidelines and specifications.
Human Error – This will include planning and running human error workshops; deriving human error classifications and specifying mitigations; tracking human performance requirements and resolving residual risk; and assessing human performance following deployment to live operation.
Validation – This will include establishing criteria for the measurement of human performance through real time simulation; planning, running and observing real time simulations to collect human performance measurements; and measuring training effectiveness and user confidence prior to live operation.
Qualifications and Skills
· Educated to at least 2:1 degree level in Human Factors, Occupational Psychology, Ergonomics or similar.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Excellent team-work skills able to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
· Excellent organisational skills with a consistent record in meeting challenging deadlines.
This role will require some travel in the UK and around the world to client sites.
